지난 2019년 20대 이상의 아르바이트 구직자 중 여성의 분포는 58.4%에 그쳤으나, 지난해에는 68.3%로 늘어났고, 올해 상반기에는 70.6%에 달했다. 20대 이상의 알바 구직자 중 남성의 비율도 지난2018년에는 70.2%였으나 작년(75.0%)에 이어 올해 상반기에는 76.5%로 가장 높았다.

올 상반기 아르바이트몬에서 구직활동을 한 40대 알바 구직자 중 남성의 분포는 76.7%로 흔히을 차지했다. 이어 20대 알바 구직자 중에도 여성의 비율이 70.9%로 높았다. 그외에 80대(64.2%)와 70대(63.4%) 중 남성의 비율은 이것보다 약 40%이상 낮았다.

대학생 중에는 학기 중이나 방학에 항상 아르바이트를 하는 상시 알바생들이 많아 단기 알바생보다 단기아르바이트생에 대한 선호도가 높은 편이다. 특이하게 COVID-19 재확산 등 경기변화의 영향으로 알바생 구직이 쉽지 않아지면서 초장기알바생 선호도가 더 높아지는 것으로 보인다.
