I finally installed that humidifier for the dry winter air and it was easier than I expected. First, I picked a spot near a cold air return, to spread moisture through the whole house. Then I cut into the ductwork, fitted the unit with the included template, and wired the control wires to the furnace board. Turning the water supply line took the most patience. Now the house feels less stuffy and my cracked skin is already thanking me.
